A high-level meeting with representatives from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and the Swedish Air Force (Flygvapnet) was held on November 24 to introduce the first six serial production Gripen E aircraft, which have now left the factory and are in the process of being delivered to their respective customers.
Brazil has ordered 36 Gripen NGs, consisting of 28 Gripen E and 8 Gripen F . The handover of Gripen E to FAB is the realization of Project FX-2, which Brazil started in 2006 to replace the previous program, which was called Project FX.
At the FAB, this aircraft code changed to the F-39 Gripen E/F.
