SAHA EXPO 2026: Fire Point Unveils FP-9 SRBM with New Look TurDef

Ukrainian Fire Point has unveiled its FP-9 SRBM with its new design as a follow-up to the FP-7 TBM during the SAHA EXPO 2026 international defence exhibition.

Fire Point’s FP-9 SRBM has been displayed at SAHA EXPO 2026 alongside the shorter-ranged FP-7 TBM, with a different layout compared to what was assumed previously.

The new layout for FP-9 has a sharper profile to reduce wave drag at high speeds, compared to that of FP-7. This is to be expected as FP-9 is to experience considerably higher speeds as an SRBM.

TurDef learned that FP-9 has entered the testing phase, while the preceding FP-7 TBM will be ready towards the 2026 summer.

FP-9 is designed with a range of 700 km and a top speed of Mach 7. The missile with a GNSS/INS guidance package can carry an 800 kg warhead and hit with a CEP of 20 m.

Fire Point has developed a line of long-range munitions, each with different points of focus for the same end.

FP-1 kamikaze UAV is a low-cost kamikaze UAV for rapid production, while its double warhead variant, FP-2, is meant to perform frontline strikes at shorter ranges.

The oversized FP-5 cruise missile was unveiled as a heavy hitter for extreme ranges, sporting a one-ton warhead and a range of 3000 km for strikes into facilities located in the Russian mainland rather than the frontline.

FP-7, understood to be a derivation from the 5V55 air defence missile’s chassis, is a TBM with a smaller warhead than other ballistic munitions of its regime but higher speed, thanks to being derived from an air defence missile externally, topping at approximately Mach 5. The missile was tested in early 2026, with a range of 200 km and a 150 kg warhead.
