SAHA EXPO 2026: JUNNO Parafoil Cargo UAV as an Alternative

Turkish INNOVITA presented its JUNNO cargo UAV using an unconventional but also unignorably low-cost layout using parafoils and a propeller for dual use.

The concluded SAHA EXPO 2026 exhibition, alongside strategic systems, has been a scene for many new approaches to tactical systems, with INNOVITA’s JUNNO parafoil UAV being one of them.

JUNNO is based on the principles of a paramotor, known for its use in recreation and sports. The cargo UAV employs the same layout but is autonomously controlled to deliver various payloads.

The layout includes a parafoil, which allows gliding and low-power flight depending on the conditions, increasing endurance. The propeller, being a rather simple one, coupled with the low cost of a parafoil, renders JUNNO highly cost-effective for what it carries.

JUNNO is available in four variants, depending on the MTOW as

  • JUNNO 50: 25 kg payload, two hours (Electric) of endurance, 50 km range
  • JUNNO 100: 50 kg payload, four hours (Electric) / eight hours (Gasoline) of endurance, 100 km range
  • JUNNO 250: 150 kg payload, four hours (Electric) / eight hours (Gasoline) of endurance, 200 km range
  • JUNNO 500: 250 kg payload, eight hours (Gasoline) of endurance, 200 km range

According to INNOVITA, JUNNO can be deployed not only from land but also from cargo aircraft. The latter option allows the delivery of smaller payloads without the main aircraft having to change course.
