SEDEC to Open Doors for Export

SEDEC 2024, organized with the support of the SSB and the SSI, will open its doors on 21-23 May with the slogan "Target export". SEDEC 2024, organized with the support of the Defence Industry Agency (SSB) and the Defence and Aviation Exporters Assembly SSI, will open its doors on 21-23 May with the slogan "Target export". Representatives of more than 80 countries were invited to the fair to be held at ATO Congresium. SEDEC Organizing Committee President Hilal Ünal, in her statement on March 25, reminded that they brought together the supply authorities from 51 countries with industry representatives in Ankara in 2022 and said that they were working to break the previous year's record. SEDEC, which will be held for the 4th time this year, will focus on homeland security, which includes many issues such as the security of critical facilities and factories, cyber security issues, natural disasters and social security, and border security.

Pointing out that countries allocate more budget for security expenditures than before, Ünal said, "Needs have increased due to conflicts worldwide. This is due to the accelerating effect of technology in the security and defence sector. "The companies participating in SEDEC 2024 will also seize the opportunities to achieve their export targets with the cooperation environment provided here." Stating that they invited representatives of more than 80 countries, mainly South America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, to SEDEC 2024, Ünal said, "SEDEC 2024 is an export-oriented event of strategic importance. "We have concentrated our efforts in these regions regarding the export of systems and equipment developed in Turkey to friendly and allied countries," she said. Ünal said they invited the world's giant players such as Boeing, Airbus, Tawazun Holding, Thales, BAE Systems and KAI to SEDEC 2024 to add Turkish suppliers to the supply chain of foreign original equipment manufacturers.
