Spain's Defence and Aerospace Fair FEINDEF Opens Tomorrow TurDef

Turkiye will have the second-largest international presence at Spain's major defence and aviation fair FEINDEF, showcasing its strength with key firms.

Spain's largest defence and aerospace exhibition, FEINDEF, will open doors tomorrow at the IFEMA fair centre in Madrid. The event is set to attract major Western defence companies, with a strong presence of Spanish firms. A total of 702 companies and organisations will participate, making it one of Spain's largest gatherings of defence industry players.

TUSAŞ, Roketsan, Havelsan, MKE, FNSS, Nurol Makina, Canik, SDT, Savronik, CES, and Sarsılmaz will prominently represent Turkiye. Turkiye is set to have the second-largest international representation at the event following Spanish firms.

From the Spanish side, well-known companies such as Navantia and Indra will participate with large stands. Western defence giants like Lockheed Martin, Leonardo, General Atomics, Rheinmetall, Airbus, MBDA, and Thales are also expected to showcase their latest technologies. Additionally, firms from India and the UAE, including DUMA and EDGE, will be present. In contrast, Russian, Chinese, and Israeli companies are absent from the exhibition, while Peru and Colombia's participation has drawn attention.

The Spanish Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior or the Spanish Air Force will be visible at the event. The only foreign defence institution with a dedicated stand is Turkiye's Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB).
