TİTRA and SSB Sign Deal to Supply DUMRUL Armed RUAV TurDef

TİTRA’s DUMRUL lightweight armed RUAV will be supplied to another branch of the Turkish Armed Forces from stocks, following a deal signed with the SSB.

Following the start of the production run and entry into service with the security forces, DUMRUL RUAVs from stocks will be provided to another service branch, as reported by Anadolu Agency News.

DUMRUL is a lightweight electrically-driven RUAV fitted with provision for different weaponry weighing up to eight kilograms, including a 40 mm revolver grenade launcher, four METE laser-guided mini missiles, and 60/81 mm mortar rounds. Compared to the much larger piston engine-powered ALPİN, DUMRUL is easier to carry around and deploy.

In addition to standard control and navigation features, DUMRUL incorporates laser designation-based navigation against RF jamming and FPV controls. The RUAV can fly for 30 minutes at ranges up to 60 km.

Another advantage of DUMRUL compared to a classical munition-carrying multi-copter UAV is a lower acoustic signature. A RUAV using a single rotor with low tip speed for the same lift generates less and lower-pitched noise compared to multiple small rotors turning at high speeds, which reduces detection chances in the acoustic spectrum.
