TİTRA announced a new deal with SSB for the procurement of kamikaze UAVs with a value of $2 million. Previously, another deal with SSB was signed for the DUMRUL armed mini RUAV. No details on the type of kamikaze UAVs to be procured were given.
Co-Founder Muhammed Selman Dönmez made the following statement regarding the acquisition:
“This deal with SSB is extremely valuable for us at TİTRA, as it demonstrates the real-world impact of the systems we have developed with domestic and national resources. It is a great source of pride for us that the kamikaze UAVs we have developed entirely with local capabilities contribute to Turkey’s defence.”
SAVX, TİTRA’s affiliate firm, has recently launched the serial production of its quadrotor MERKÜT FPV kamikaze UAV. Aside from the MERKÜT FPV line of SAVX, TİTRA has developed the DELİ line of fixed-wing kamikaze UAVs (DELİ, DELİ2 EO, DELİ2 IG).
