Türkiye is the second biggest country to take part in LIMA TurDef

From May 20 to 24, 2025, the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) will be held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre and Langkawi International Airport in Malaysia.

LIMA started in 1991 as a regional event and has since developed into a worldwide platform that brings together the defence, aerospace, marine, and commercial aviation industries. The latest edition in 2023 had 550 firms taking part, 574 foreign delegations from 52 countries, and 42,000 visitors, showing how important it is as a place for industry leaders to gather.

Türkiye’s Strong Presence

Türkiye is represented by 17 major companies at LIMA 2025, including DESAN Shipyard, DASAL Aerospace, Space & Defence Technologies, MKE, ASFAT, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, STM, TAIS, and CTech.

International Participation

Malaysia leads the event with an overwhelming 217 companies. Türkiye follows with 17 firms, matching the numbers of Australia, South Korea, and Netherlands. China has a strong presence with 15 companies, while Russia and India each send 14. European representation includes France with 14, Italy with eight, Germany with six, and the United Kingdom with one participant.
