The Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) aims to place new orders from the German Navy as Berlin turns its attention to strengthening the German armed forces after years in response to the Ukraine war. Speaking to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), TKMS chief Oliver Burkhard said his company had been invited to bid for additional submarines and corvettes, adding that this would happen in the coming weeks.
