US Congress Allowed Saudi Arabia Weapons Sale to Proceed
As the Senate lifted the blockade, Saudi Arabia received permission to reach the missiles it wanted for a long time. A bipartisan block holds the sale of the $650m sales of missiles and missile launchers. The Senate has now blocked the resolution that banned the sale of missiles and missile launchers to Saudi Arabia. The administration approved President Joe Biden’s sale in November. It is the first big arms agreement between the United States and Saudi Arabia since Biden’s election in January.
