ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol highlighted the company’s achievements in 2024 and its visin and targets for 2025 in an interview with Anadolu News Agency.
ASELSAN expanded its global footprint in 2024 by exporting to seven new countries and signing contracts for 30 products being exported for the first time. The company introduced 29 innovative systems to the Turkish Armed Forces, including key components of the Çelik Kubbe (Steel Dome) air defence system: the ALP 300-G Early Warning Radar and the SİPER Long-Range Air Defence System.
ASELSAN initiated over $400 million in new investments, focusing on advanced technologies such as radar, electro-optics, and microelectronics. Akyol affirmed ASELSAN's commitment to strengthening Türkiye’s defence capabilities and global competitiveness.
Developments include the DÜFAS sonar system, enhancing underwater detection by fourfold, and Türkiye’s first indigenous ASELFLIR-500 system, now operational in nine countries. Akyol emphasised ASELSAN’s role in advancing Türkiye’s position in autonomous naval systems, referencing the induction of the MARLIN unmanned surface vessel .
Akyol concluded by celebrating TÜRKSAT 6A, now operational in orbit, as an example of ASELSAN’s ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions from the depths of the sea to the expanse of space.
