Students at Istanbul Arel University are preparing to host the Arel Defense Industry Summit, an event organised by the university’s Defence Industry Club to connect students with professionals from Türkiye’s defence sector.

The summit will be held on 2 April 2026 between 10:00 and 14:00 at the Conference Hall of the Kemal Gözükara Campus in Istanbul.

According to the organisers, the event aims to provide a platform where students can engage directly with industry professionals and gain insight into current developments, technologies and career opportunities in the defence industry.

The programme will include presentations and discussion sessions featuring expert speakers from defence and technology companies. These sessions will be followed by question-and-answer segments designed to allow students to interact directly with the speakers and explore industry topics in greater depth.

In addition to the speaking sessions, the summit will also feature a foyer area where participating organisations and sponsors will host stands, enabling students to meet company representatives and learn more about their activities.

Companies and organisations expected to take part in the event include Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV) IGA, ASELSAN, Asisguard, EHSIM Electronic Warfare Systems, ASFAT A.Ş., AFGM, Erpa,  Demsay and Belpico, while representatives from Yeditepe University are also expected to participate.

Organisers say the summit is intended to strengthen the connection between universities and the defence industry while helping students better understand the technological landscape and professional pathways within the sector.
