Turkish defence and aerospace exports in February 2026 have reached %27.2 higher than last year’s February term at $553.4 million, continuing the rise.
Turkish Secretary of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün announced that both the February 2026 term and the term covering the first two months of the year have seen a considerable increase in export revenue.
According to the statement, the exports of February 2026 are at $553.4 million, %27.2 higher than February 2025.
Additionally, the exports during the first two months of 2026 totalled $1.107 billion, %35.1 higher compared to the previous term.
2025’s total of Turkish defence exports hit $10.56 billion, with $4.7 billion corresponding to ammunition-related exports. Haluk Görgün said that in addition to exports, the industry also inked $17.8 billion worth of new sales contracts in 2025, one of which is the ~$10 billion export deal with Indonesia for the KAAN fighter jet.
Considering the increase on a month-by-month basis, contracts signed in 2025, and the current list of negotiations for major exports, 2026 has a considerable chance to surpass 2025 in export revenue for the Turkish defence industry.
