Alanç Becomes RMK Marine CEO

The former CEO of Ares Shipyard, Özgün Utku Alanç, will work as the CEO of RMK Marine. Alanç is expected to start his new job in Istanbul in September.

In early August, departing CEO Alanç published a goodbye to Ares Shipyard employees, indicating that he had worked over a decade at the shipyard, five of which were as CEO. Following his goodbye, ARES Shipyard chairman Kerim Kalafatoğlu has published a farewell for Alanç stating his contribution to the shipyard.

The current CEO of RMK Marine, Gürkan Türkeş, declared his retirement on the last day of August and indicated that Alanç would be his successor. Alanç has not made any statements yet.

Ares Shipyard has completed various naval projects for domestic needs and export markets. The company cooperates with Meteksan on unmanned surface vehicles Ulaq. The Shipyard works on FPB 35 projects, delivered to the Turkish Coast Guard and the General Directorate of Security. It exports naval products to various countries.

RMK Marine, on the other hand, has constructed two Ada Class corvettes for the Ukrainian Navy and delivered four search-and-rescue vessels to the Turkish Coast Guard.
