ALP-300G Early Warning Radar Delivered to TAF

ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol announced that ALP-300G (Formerly TEİRS and ERALP) mobile early warning radar has been delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces. ALP-300G, carried by 8x8 tactical wheeled vehicles, will be important in ground-based early warning and the SİPER long-range air defence system as the main searching radar. Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries Haluk Görgün made the following statements regarding some of the important features of ALP-300G reported by NTV. Görgün underlined that the radar has more than 4000 T/R modules and can receive reflection before a turn is completed. Additionally, the radar can send a ‘clarification signal’ to determine the position of a target more precisely. ALP-300G uses GaN-based AESA technology and can operate in a fixed orientation or turn to perform 360-degree scans. The radar has been developed to detect and track aircraft, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and low-RCS airborne targets. The mobile radar carried by an 8x8 vehicle can be readied in 30 minutes and includes built-in test systems. ASELSAN’s other recent products in the field of AESA radars include CENK-S searching radar for I-class frigates, MURAD radar for fighter jets and AKINCI UCAV, and ALP multi-role radar for SİPER air defence system.
