The prototype of ANKA-III stealth UCAV has completed a critical autopilot test in its 46th sortie of the system identification and verification campaign.
TUSAŞ’s ANKA-III UCAV is continuing the flight tests, with the latest one involving critical autopilot tests, which are aimed at verifying autonomous flight capabilities.
Two other important tests covering autonomous flight capabilities covered formation flight with other aircraft, first with HÜRJET advanced trainer and the second with the second prototype of ANKA-III.
ANKA-III is being developed to operate with a high level of autonomy. A major reason behind the need for higher autonomy is the fact that it will be a pivotal part of TUSAŞ’s OKU MUM-T system to be used on the KAAN fighter at later stages.
