Antalya-based ARES Shipyard has announced a new contract with the Directorate General of Coastal Safety for a 16-off ARES 17 SAR Search and Rescue Vessel.

The 18.50-meter-long aluminium-hull ARES 17 SAR Search and Rescue Boats will be built in compliance with Turkish Lloyd classification rules. These vessels will operate 24/7 in Türkiye’s maritime jurisdiction areas and the Turkish Straits, aiming to enhance navigational safety and protect life, property, the environment, and maritime security.
ARES Shipyard Chief Executive Officer, Oğuzhan Pehlivanlı, stated, “We achieved this tender by offering the most advanced technology and the highest value-added proposal. We are proud to serve various institutions of our state and ensure safety. Every project is valuable and a source of pride for us.
