The move aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, with ARES Naval aiming to support the localisation of strategic naval and military industries, facilitate technology transfer, strengthen domestic supply chains, and contribute to the development of national defence capabilities.

ARES Naval’s portfolio in Saudi Arabia will cover the design, development, and construction of manned military vessels and boats, unmanned surface vessels (USVs), and integrated naval systems, as well as technical support, maintenance, and modernisation services for existing fleets.

The company stated that it intends to build strategic partnerships with Saudi governmental and military entities, in addition to local and international defence companies, to enhance maritime security, improve defence readiness, and support the training and development of Saudi talent in the naval and maritime domain.

According to ARES Naval, Saudi Arabia offers a highly attractive investment environment and strong institutional backing for defence-industrial projects, making it a central pillar for the company’s regional and international expansion plans.
