ASELSAN announced the export of ALKAR 100/81 automated mortar and GÖKDENİZ 100/35/StA CIWS to the Eastern Europe region, without disclosing the customers.

ASELSAN disclosed the export of ALKAR 100/81 lightweight automated mortar system and GÖKDENİZ 100/35/StA CIWS to the Eastern Europe region. As the countries are not stated, it is not known if there are two customers or both systems were ordered by the same customer.

ALKAR 100/81 will be exported as part of an agreement with a vehicle manufacturer for the needs of an unnamed Eastern European country.

On the other hand, the acceptance trials for the GÖKDENİZ 100/35/StA to be exported to an Eastern European country were completed. The customer might be Ukraine as it will use the CIWS onboard its MİLGEM corvettes.

ALKAR 100/81

ALKAR 100/81 is an automated 81 mm mortar system developed after the ALKAR 100/120, which uses a 120 mm mortar. As a lighter system, ALKAR 100/81 can be mounted on flatbed 4x4 armoured vehicles and even commercial pickup trucks. Additionally, the system can be used in fixed positions for outpost defence duties.

GÖKDENİZ 100/35/StA

GÖKDENİZ 100/35/StA is the standalone configuration of the GÖKDENİZ 35 mm CIWS family, having its own search radar in addition to the AKREP 100-N fire control radar/electro-optical system. The search radar on the standalone configuration is CENK 200-N, or more widely known as MAR-D.

The CIWS can use both conventional 35 mm ammunition and ASELSAN’s ATOM 35 mm airburst ammunition for better effect against missiles and UAVs.
