ASELSAN Vice President Behçet Karataş is appointed as ASFAT CEO. Karataş is a name with nearly 30 years of ASELSAN history. The new CEO had been serving as Vice President at ASELSAN since November 2020.

Behcet KARATAŞ was born in 1964. He graduated from Middle East Technical University’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department in 1989. He received his master’s degree from the same university, the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, in 1994.
He began his professional career in Turkiye Electricity Authority in 1989, and from 1993 onwards, he has continued his career as an engineer in ASELSAN. He was appointed Remote Controlled Weapon Systems Program Manager in 2010 and continued this duty until 2014. Afterwards, he served as the Integrated Logistics Support Director of the Defence System Technologies Sector Presidency between 2014 and 2017 and the Naval Systems Program Director in the Defence System Technologies Sector Presidency between 2017 and 2020.
He was assigned as the Vice President responsible for Defence Systems Technologies in the Board of Directors meeting dated October 27th 2020.
