Egypt, India Sign MoU for Defence Cooperation

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday to sign a military-to-military cooperation agreement. Both leaders agreed to expand military cooperation and focus on joint training, defence coproduction, and equipment maintenance.

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with Egyptian Defence Minister General Mohamed Zaki in bilateral talks. During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen defence ties and agreed to improve joint exercises and exchange personnel for training, particularly in the counter-insurgency field. The two Ministers also agreed to identify proposals for expanding cooperation between India's and Egypt's defence industries promptly.

Following the Defence Minister's call with Egypt's President, Mr Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, both Ministers agreed to consolidate and focus on enhancing bilateral security and defence cooperation.
