Heybet will be Responsible for Five Units, and ASFAT

Turkish Defence Ministry has Musa Heybet as the new Deputy Defence Minister, and he will sit on Tüfekçi’s chair but replace Durdalı’s missions.

Turkish Defence Ministry deputy defence minister Celal Sami Tüfekçi was recently removed from his post. Musa Heybet was the new name to replace Tüfekçi. However, the ministry's organizational chart had more changes than this.

When Heybet was appointed to the ministry, the expectation was to replace Tüfekçi. In fact, Deputy Defence Minister Bilal Durdalı took over Tüfekçi’s former missions except ASFAT, and Heybet will follow Durdalı’s former missions.

Due to organisational change, Durdalı is no longer responsible for the Directorate General of Personnel, Directorate General of Defence and Safety, Directorate General of Administrative Services, Directorate General of Procurement Services, and Department of Communications and Information Systems.

He will instead manage the General Directorate of Military Factories, Directorate General of Shipyards, Directorate General of Technical Services, and Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation, except ASFAT.

ASFAT will be Heybet’s responsibility. Heybet’s missions will be the Directorate General of Personnel, the Directorate General of Defence and Safety, the Directorate General of Administrative Services, the Directorate General of Procurement Services, the Department of Communications and Information Systems, and ASFAT Inc.
