Kenya Adds Six Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAVs to its Inventory TurDef

Baykar’s Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAVs will be on duty in Kenya along with Turkish Aerospace’s ANKA-S UCAVs. Kenya has added six TB2 Armed UAVs to its inventory.

Military Africa website and Inside Africa twitter account said Baykar delivered the Bayraktar TB2 tactical Armed UAVs to Kenya. It is known that the Kenya National Intelligence Service (NIS) acquired UAVs which can carry laser-guided smart bombs. The Armed UAVs will be integrated into operations against clan-based insurgent and terrorist group Al-Shabaab. Kenya had previously purchased three MALE Class Anka-S UCAVs from TUSAŞ.
