The ceremony, which will be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic, is the largest official parade in modern Turkish naval history. The Navy will also greet President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the Istanbul Strait passage. Naval Forces Commander Admiral Tatlıoğlu will command the parade from TCG Anadolu (L400), the flag carrier ship of Naval Forces.
The Defence Ministry announced that military ships, including TCG Anadolu (L400), will take place at the parade in the Bosphorus on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.
Among many vessels, Turkiye's first national frigate, which has not yet entered the inventory of the Naval Forces Command, I Class TCG Istanbul Frigate (F515), Reis Class Piri Reis Submarine (S-330), Replenishment at Sea and Combat Support Ship (DIMDEG) TCG DERYA (A-1590) will join the parade.
The ships will gather in the Princes Islands region in the Marmara Sea before the parade and will sail through the StraitBosphorus in the south-north direction.
