Malaysia and India Attend Air Combat Exercises Shakti 2022

The series of exercises are based on the concept of field exercises and subject matter exchange. The aim is to strengthen military-to-military ties and interoperability between air forces. Both IAF and RMAF operate the Su-30MK Flanker fighter jets with the respective codes Su-30MKI and Su-30MKM. RMAF and IAF aircraft will carry out tactical flights by flying low in certain designated areas. The IAF attend the drill with 148 aircraft. In addition to deploying the Su-39MKI, the IAF sent a fleet of Boeing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft, Il-78 aerial refuelling aircraft, and Rafale fighter jets, Tejas fighter aircraft, Jaguar, MiG-29.
