The Netherlands becomes the first country to integrate U.S.-made AGM 179A Joint Air-to-Ground precision strike missiles into its AH 64E Apache helicopters.

The U.S. State Department granted the go-light on June 12, 2025, according to the Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). The deal comprises 296 JAGM tactical missiles, 25 training missiles, technical data, spare parts, and full support for logistics and engineering.
The main contractor will be Lockheed Martin.

The AGM-179A JAGM is a new type of precision attack missile that features a dual-mode seeker, employing both millimetre-wave radar and semi-active laser guidance. The new missile was developed to replace the previous AGM-114 Hellfire.
The Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) operates 28 AH 64E Apache Guardian helicopters.
