DHL Global Forwarding, the world’s leading logistics company, providing land, air and sea transportation, customs clearance, supply chain and warehousing services in more than 200 countries, has appointed Tamer Özmen as the Defence and Aviation Directorate to support the growth of Turkey in the defence and aerospace industry. Ingo Alexander Rahn is the Senior Manager of DHL Global Forwarding in Turkiye.

DHL has many directorates. The public sector is one of them. DHL provides logistics for the public sector, specialising in tailored solutions for Aid and Relief, Defence, and Government. It is learned that Turkiye’s growing defence export and import volume led the company to appoint an experienced person in the defence sector.

After his Air Force retirement, Özmen worked in various defence industry companies. He was last the Head of Corporate Marketing and Communications at Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ). He negotiated and signed contracts with Pakistan and the Philippines to export the T129 Atak helicopter.
