Pakistan Navy’s Babur Visits Jeddah on the way to Homeport?

Pakistan Navy’s first Babur Class ship, PNS Babur 280, visited Saudi Arabia and conducted a passage exercise with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) ship. Pakistan Navy announced on social media that the first Babur Class ship, PNS Babur 280, visited the Jeddah port. The ship was received by senior RSNF officials and the Naval Attaché of Pakistan. RSNF authority's interest in ships is a positive sign for future projects with Turkish Naval Industry.

During its stay at the port, the Commanding Officer of PNS BABUR, Caption Sajjad, also called on RSNF Deputy Western Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Yahya Mohammad Majrashi. PNS BABUR and HMS AL RIYADH of RSNF conducted PASSEX and rehearsed various Joint Maritime Exercises and Operations. The aim of the exercise was to provide an opportunity to enhance interoperability between both navies.

The Pakistan Navy has not announced it, but the ship seems to be on its way to returning to Pakistan. On June 14, the ship left Turkish Blue waters after the Turkish-Pakistani Bilateral TURGUTREIS-IX naval exercise and reached Jeddah on June 19.

There is no further information about the vessel. She must be cruising towards her homeport in Pakistan. The constructing company, Turkish Defence Ministry Company ASFAT released a video in late May which seemed like a farewell to the ship.
