Defence Minister of Poland, Mariusz Błaszczak, has shared a piece of information about Turkish UAV TB2. He wrote in Polish, “Już wkrótce dobre informacje”, meaning “Good news coming soon”, and added in English ”, stay tuned!”
The photo includes a TB2 with a Polish flag on the tail. It carries weapons.It is impossible to predict the weapons, but they are probably Roketsan’s MAM-L and MAM-C. The combination underwing indicates that two ammunition. Roketsan produces MAM-T, but it is designed to be carried at Akıncı. On the other hand, Tübitak-Sage produces similar ammunition Bozok, and it will be carried by TB2 too.
TB2 is used in Syria, Libya by Turkish armed forces. Qatar and Ukraine have UAV in their inventory. The UAV is also used in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict against Armenia with success. In all cases, it was used against Russian air defence systems. If Poland buys the system, Baykar Makina will first-time export the system to a NATO country.
