The Defence Industry Agency has redesigned the English equivalent of its name along with the logo and titles. The short form will remain as SSB.
The English equivalent of the name of the Defence Industry Agency will be the Secretariat of Defence Industries. The new name removes the word “Agency” from the institution name. Like the previous version, the British English version is preferred once more, but this time, the name represents industries. The previous name mentioned industry in a singular form. Instead, the plural suffix is used, which coordinates with the Turkish version. The Turkish name has two “i” at the end of the word “sanayi”. The second “i” refers to the plural version of the word.
On the other hand, the head of the Agency was formerly called the President. From now on, the main responsible will be called the “Secretary”, and his main pillars will be called “Deputy Secretary”.
