The Ministry of National Defence announced that TCG ANADOLU (L 400) and TCG DERYA (A-1590) performed the first “Fuel and Solid Cargo Replenishment at Sea”.
Turkish Defence Ministry announced that Turkiye’s multipurpose amphibious ship TCG Anadolu (L 400) and Replenishment at Sea and Combat Support Ship TCG Derya (A-1590) performed the first transfer of fuel and solid cargo at sea.
The Ministry published photos of this activity carried out off the coast of Aksaz and stated that “such activities play a major role in increasing the operational capabilities of the Turkish Naval Forces.”
TCG Anadolu (L 400) must operate with a task group to increase the range and endurance at sea. One of the most important elements of this group is the TCG Derya (A-1590) ship, which provides logistic support.
