The F110-GE-129E model has some improvements introduced over the F110 engine family’s service life. The 129E variant incorporates improvements from GE’s Service Life Extension Programme (SLEP) and upgrades to the combustor and high-pressure turbine. The enhancements reduce up to 25 per cent in cost per flight hour and increase engine cycle life by 50 per cent. Twin engine F-15 has two F110-GE-129E on board.
