Hezbollah launched a missile attack on Israel from Southern Lebanon, and Israel responded without considering civilian targets, according to witnesses.
Hezbollah stated that it attacked Israel's military base in Upper Jalil with Katyusha missiles from the south of Lebanon.
The Israeli army made a counter statement declaring that 40 missiles were launched, the Iron Dome system intercepted some of them, and the remaining missiles fell into an unused area. It was also stated that there was no loss of life.
On the other hand, according to the news of Beirut-based "Al Mayadeen" television, which is known for its close ties with Hezbollah, a vehicle belonging to the channel was attacked even though it had a Press card. It was reported that United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) soldiers were also at the scene during the attack and witnessed the attack.
The Israeli army has been targeting those using the land route on the 120-kilometer border line in southern Lebanon since October 8, 2023.
Israel has attacked the Iranian Embassy in Syria and killed senior military personnel. While the U.S. claimed that it had no information concerning the attack, Iran decided to retaliate. Even though there has been no attack so far, Western countries warn their citizen to avoid travelling to Israel or leave the country.
