Pasifik Teknoloji subsidiary TITRA Technology hosted a group of journalists at its production facilities in Ankara, where it shared details on systems developed for unmanned aerial vehicle management and its export-focused growth plans. TurDef was also among the participants. As part of the programme, journalists were given the opportunity to examine the company’s engineering and production infrastructure on site.
One of the main topics of the briefing was the UAV tracking system developed for civil and commercial drones. The system aims to automatically filter civil flights and enable the rapid detection of unauthorised or unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles all over Türkiye. According to the company, the solution is intended to provide a technical framework for ensuring security in dense airspace with reduced reliance on human intervention.
Recent risks posed by unauthorised or unidentified UAVs around critical facilities and populated areas have further highlighted the importance of such infrastructure. A recent incident, in which a UAV approaching Ankara was neutralised, once again brought attention to the need for real-time, reliable and clearly differentiated monitoring of both civil and military airspace.
Beyond the recent UAV incident near Ankara, a series of airspace violations linked to unmanned aerial vehicles have also been recorded across Europe recently, in some cases leading to the temporary grounding of passenger aircraft. These developments have highlighted the growing need for reliable UAV traffic management and airspace deconfliction solutions. In 2025, UAV-related airspace violations led to precautionary flight suspensions and temporary groundings at several major European airports, including Copenhagen and Oslo airspace, as well as Munich, Brussels, Liège, Arlanda (Stockholm) and Berlin airports. In this context, TITRA’s work on UAV tracking and airspace monitoring also aligns with emerging European requirements, adding a further export dimension for the company as it targets European markets.
TITRA Technology Co-Founder M. Selman Dönmez stated that the UAV tracking software is currently being tested by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and that it is intended to be rolled out nationwide. He noted that the system is positioned as a core component of the company’s long-term vision for unmanned logistics and air mobility.
