Turkish Defence Exports Hit Record with $884 Million TurDef

According to TıM figures, defence and aerospace exports jumped by 147 per cent year-on-year in March from $358 million to a record-breaking $884 million.

According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TıM), Turkiye’s defence and aerospace industry reached an export milestone in March 2025. From $358 million, the sector’s exports climbed 147% over the same month the previous year to $884 million. This marks the highest monthly export volume in the industry’s history.

Exports had already started rising earlier in the year. The industry exported $383.1 million in January 2025, up 16  per cent from January 2024. February came next with a 44 per cent year-on-year increase to $434 million.SSB Emphasises Sustainable Export Growth

Secretary of Defence Industries (SSB) Haluk Görgün said, “In the coming period, as the SSB, we will continue with international efforts that embrace both large-scale companies and SMEs, increase the number of exporting firms, and position exports as a sustainability anchor for the entire sector,” Görgün stated.

SSB targets reaching $7.3 billion in exports in 2025

Turkish Defence and Aerospace industry exported a total of $6.78 billion worth of goods in 2024. The SSB set $7.3 billion for the year 2025.
