Turkish Navy Commissions SALVO USV with TRAKON Lite RCWS TurDef

SALVO USV has been commissioned as TCB 1401, fitted with Unirobotics TRAKON Lite RCWS specifically developed for lightweight platforms. The RCWS was tested onboard Dearsan’s 15 m-class USV successfully. In addition to TRAKON Lite, SALVO USV, introduced to the Turkish Navy service, is fitted with a flight pad to operate small-sized UAVs.

Naval version of TRAKON Lite offers AI-supported control and weapon options from 5.56 mm machine guns to 40 mm grenade launchers. In SALVO’s case, TRAKON Lite is used with CANiK’s M2 QCB 12.7x99 mm machine gun.

Prior to the integration of TRAKON Lite on SALVO, Unirobotics became the RCWS supplier for Hisar-class OPVs with its TRAKON TARGAN RCWS optimised for naval use and C-UAS capabilities through special targeting algorithms.

TRAKON Lite

TRAKON Lite is the smallest member of the TRAKON family of RCWS, as a solution for small-sized vessels. Unlike the baseline TRAKON with independent optics, TRAKON Lite uses coaxial optics and only allows weaponry up to 40 mm grenade launchers, while TRAKON can accept heavier weapons like VENOM LR 30x113 mm revolver cannon or ALEXIS 20 mm revolver cannon.

The RCWS has an unloaded weight of 180 kg and an ammunition capacity of 200 rounds for 12.7 mm machine guns.
