Turkiye Exports KCR-70M Fast Attack Craft to Indonesia

A steel-cutting ceremony was held for the KCR-70M Fast Attack Craft (FAC), which will be built for the Indonesian Navy.
The ceremony, held at the Sefine Shipyard, one of the shipyards affiliated with TAIS, was attended by Indonesian Ambassador to Ankara Achmad Rizal Purnama.

Purnama said, “Today, I attended the First Steel Cutting Ceremony for Indonesia’s Fast Attack Craft Missile (KCR-70M) produced by Turkish company TAIS at Sefine Shipyard. This project reflected the ever-developing defence cooperation between Indonesia and Türkiye, which is one of the main landmarks of the strategic partnership between the two countries.”

The KCR-70M is designed to achieve up to 40 knots (74 km/h), representing a significant advancement over the current KCR warships in the Indonesian Navy, which have a maximum speed of 29 knots (53 km/h).
