A photo including the prototype of TUSAŞ T925 12-ton utility helicopter alongside T929 was shared by the Turkish MP Derya Yanık, who visited TUSAŞ facilities.
T925 12-ton utility helicopter, as a follow-up to the six-ton class T625 GÖKBEY, was spotted in a photo from the visit by ruling party’s Osmaniye Member of Parliament (MP) Derya Yanık to Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ). Yanık shared photos from TUSAŞ facilities on her Instagram account following her visit.
The nose of the T925 prototype sticking out in the photo was matched with the updated design presented throughout the exhibitions, based on specific details such as the fuselage form, glass panels, and mounting slots for optics.

Not long ago, in an interview with SAHA İstanbul in January 2026, TUSAŞ CEO Mehmet Demiroğlu stated that T925’s maiden flight is planned to be conducted in 2026 with the deliveries scheduled for 2028.
As the next step in utility helicopters T925 has recently gained a higher priority as a project amid the licensing problems with the T-70 utility helicopter, which is a localisation of Sikorsky’s S-70 Black Hawk by TUSAŞ and the subcontractors.
T925 with an MTOW of 12 tonnes can carry up to 19 passengers and internal or sling-loaded cargo. Powered by two 2x Motorsich TV3-117VMA-SBM1V turboshaft engines, the helicopter can reach a maximum speed of 324 km/h and a range of more than 518 km.
The new helicopter is set to serve both civilian and military service branches as a utility type, including maritime use, with a naval version featuring rotors and tail with a folding mechanism.
