Malaysia and India Attend Air Combat Exercises Shakti 2022

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF/TUDM) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) is currently conducting the first six-day joint air exercise, Vayu Shakti 2022. The drill was held in the Malaysian state of Kuantan airspace and its surroundings on 12-17 August. The Vayu Shakti is held at the Pokhran range every three years. The last event took place in 2019.

BrahMos Aerospace CEO Atul Rane recently told TASS that about three or four countries in Southeast Asia and the Middle East would buy the BrahMos missiles in cooperation with India and Russia. Among the countries that will buy these missiles, Rane mentions Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia for the Southeast Asian region. While countries in the Middle East that have the potential to buy these missiles are the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. "Oman has also shown interest in the BrahMos missile," Rane added.
