The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) displayed the JF-17 Thunder with the claim of hunting the Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 at the IDEAS 2022 defence exhibition. Indian and Pakistani jets engaged over the ceasefire line in disputed Kashmir on 26 February 2019. Pakistan had claimed that two Indian fighters had crossed the Pakistani border.

Norway to Acquire AIM-120 AMRAAM for its F-35A Fleet

The State Department has determined to approve a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Norway of AIM-120 C-8 or D Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $950 million. The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale.

Turkish BVR Missile Passed the Test with Radar Seeker

President of the Defence Industry Agency (DIA), Professor İsmail Demir, announced from his social media accounts that Tubitak SAGE’s (Defence Industry Research and Development Institute) Gökdoğan Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile BVR/Peregrine) was fired with radar seeker. Demir stated that BVR Peregrine and Bozdoğan Within Visual Range (WVR/Merlin) would be delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces.
