ROKETSAN's LAÇİN winged guidance kit with IIR seeker and ELÇİN-82 laser guidance kit dropped from AKINCI UCAV successfully hit the target.
ROKETSAN shared the test footage of its new guidance kit, which features IIR guidance with man-in-the-loop capability and an extended glide range thanks to the wing kit.
The test munition doesn't appear to be carrying the IIR seeker, implying that the purpose test was to validate the communication, further evidenced by a modified antenna at the front.
Shortly after, a test footage of a laser guidance kit named ELÇİN-82 was shared. The kit looks externally identical to the TEBER-82 laser guidance kit, but ROKETSAN hasn't disclosed the difference or if ELÇİN is a renaming for TEBER.
LAÇİN will allow AKINCI to strike stationary and moving targets at ranges of 50 km. The IIR seeker offers more autonomous guidance and a man-in-the-loop capability with the datalink.
2024 has been another year of new munition options for AKINCI UCAV with the tests of the ÇAKIR cruise missile with IIR seeker, TOLUN IIR small-diameter bomb, UAV-230 aeroballistic missile's new variant, UAV-122 aeroballistic missile's TV and laser seeker versions, KUZGUN-SS glide munition, MAM-T IIR, MAM-L IIR, MAM-L TV, and TEBER-82 laser guidance kit's stub-wing configuration.
