ASELSAN launched an office in Jakarta at INDO Defence 2025 and completed five important deals to strengthen its position in Indonesia's burgeoning military industry.
ASELSAN has shown its long-term commitment to Southeast Asia by building an office in Indonesia and completing five important agreements at the INDO Defence 2025 expo in Jakarta.
The agreements cover things like working together on development, sharing technology, making things together, and integrating systems with Indonesian and foreign military companies. These efforts are meant to make ASELSAN a bigger part of Indonesia's changing military environment and show that Türkiye is a crucial partner in the area.
In front of high-ranking officials from Turkiye and Indonesia, the five agreements were signed.
PT LEN Industri (via DEFEND ID): Cooperation on radar, surveillance, cyber security, and command-and-control systems through technology transfer and local production.
PT PINDAD: Joint development of weapon systems, guidance units, and fire control technologies.
PT PAL: Collaboration on naval platform modernisation and new vessel development.
CSG Group (Czech Republic): Joint exploration of commercial and technological opportunities.
Excalibur Army (Czech Republic): Integration of ASELSAN systems into the Indonesian version of the PATRIOT 4x4 tactical vehicle.
The new Jakarta office will serve as ASELSAN’s regional hub, enabling direct coordination with local partners, development of tailored solutions, and provision of in-country sustainment services.
Speaking at the inauguration, ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol said:
“Our new Jakarta office brings cutting-edge capabilities and reliable partnerships to a key strategic market. ASELSAN Indonesia will act as a direct link to our local collaborators, enabling sustainable and high-impact cooperation across the region.”
Secretary of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün, who attended the ceremony, stated:
“It is a privilege to witness the opening of ASELSAN's Indonesia office and the signing of landmark agreements that deepen our defence ties. This office will serve as a bridge of technology, knowledge, and friendship between Türkiye and Indonesia, paving the way for shared success and future achievements in defence.”
