Turkish defence company ASELSAN presents its Gökdeniz Close-in Weapon System (CIWS) at IDEX. The company’s CIWS takes place at the International Golden Group’s (IGG) ASELSANGGI booth.
Gökdeniz CIWS, along with 35 mm Airburst Ammunition (ATOM) developed by ASELSAN, is effective against anti-ship missiles. The Automatic Linkless Ammunition Feed Mechanism system allows loading both HEI and airburst ammunition and switching between ammunition types as needed. Gökdeniz can be used against helicopters, fighters, UAVs, and asymmetric surface naval threats.
