ASELSAN will unveil the new configuration of GÖKSUR PDMS, which does not have onboard sensors but 20 missiles, at the Euronaval 2024 exhibition.
The new variant, GÖKSUR 100-N, trades off AKREP 200-N AESA radars and electro-optics for 20 missiles, whereas the standalone variant GÖKSUR 100-N/StA holds 12.
GÖKSUR will use the GÖKSUR IIR short-range air defence missiles developed from Bozdoğan WVRAAM missile. The extra features on GÖKSUR IIR include folding rear fins and a two-way datalink to receive midcourse updates from the radars.
Additionally, ASELSAN is developing a third variant with a radically different layout named GÖKSUR 100-N VLS. In a past interview with MaviVatan.net, the former Director of TÜBİTAK SAGE Gürcan Okumuş teased the project by stating that a vertical launch option was in the works for Bozdoğan missile. GÖKSUR 100-N VLS would offer the luxury of 360-degree engagement with no delay from turret direction and adjustable capacity depending on the platform.
Alongside ASELSAN, ROKETSAN continues the work on the LEVENT PDMS family, set to use LEVENT missiles with an 11 km range and IIR+Passive RF guidance.
The standalone LEVENT has a similar sensor suite with GÖKSUR 100-N/StA, while the "bare" variant can hold 21 LEVENT or modified SUNGUR air defence missiles. The first firing test of standalone LEVENT was performed last month.
