During SAHA EXPO 2024, ASSAN unveiled general-purpose bombs of the Soviet origin FAB standard to be produced.
The firm has displayed FAB-250 M-54, FAB-250 TS, and OFAB-250 general-purpose bombs weighing 250 kg. The bombs have a significant export potential due to an important portion of Turkiye's export customers' air forces.

Many countries acquiring military equipment from Turkiye use Soviet origine combat aircraft (MiG-21, Su-25, MiG-29) in their air forces, which can't use Mk-80 general-purpose bombs (Which ASSAN also produces) without modifications like in Ukraine's case. Some countries can be given as Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, and other African customers.

Production of FAB-standard bombs compatible with these aircraft is an important step in this regard, along with reduced acquisition costs and time.
In addition to ASSAN's production of FAB general-purpose bombs, guidance kits like ASELSAN's QFAB-250-LG laser guidance kit offer the option of having guided munitions in these situations.
