ASTECH DEFENCE will introduce the GÖKKURT (SKYWOLF) Smart Ammunition Family at the SAHA EXPO.
ASTECH, a startup company formed by the gathering of a team of engineers, is implementing innovative weapon system solutions.
ASTECH, founded with the support of ASSAN Group Defence Board Chairman Emin Öner, offers a wide range of technological solutions from designing ammunition systems, aircraft, missiles and subsystems to sensors, seekers, power systems and rocket engines. ASTECH founders have over 20 years of experience on various missile and ammunition projects.
The company's first product group, the GAM Family, focuses on solutions to meet the needs of the modern battlefield.
This family of mini smart weapon systems, developed for UAVs/UCAVs and fixed-wing aircraft, consists of three different weapon systems: GAM-A, with a range of 20 kilometres; GAM-B, with a range of 40 kilometres; and GAM-D, with a range of 80 kilometres.
Thanks to its modular structure, the GAM family can be customised according to mission requirements with four different seekers and two warhead options. It provides precision strike capability against fixed and mobile targets with INS/GPS guidance and seeker technologies.
The main body, avionics systems and platform interface consist of common components in all systems. While GAM-A represents the basic configuration, different wing kits are integrated into the main body in the GAM-B and GAM-D models. The GAM-D model includes a thrust system with increased range and loitering capability. The GAM product family will provide operational superiority to the user on the battlefield with range options over 20, 40 and 80 kilometres and 16-kilogram warheads.
The biggest member of the GAM product family, specially developed against armoured or protected targets, was named GAM-X (Extra). Designed for penetration, high destruction and demolition, GAM-X carries a much larger warhead than other variants of the GAM family, taking the high-destructive precision strike capability to a next level.
GAM ammunition, which can be used in accordance with the single or swarm concept, can be used with the fire-and-forget feature, as well as having two-way communication and a man-in-the-loop firing mode. In this mode, the pilot and the ammunition interact while the target can be updated instantly.
