Azerbaijan’s International Defence Exhibition ADEX 2024 opens its doors with the participation of 24 countries. Turkiye showcases its support to Azerbaijan with the largest involvement.
The exhibition in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, features partaking from 24 countries. While some, such as Belgium and the United Kingdom, are only represented by the media, the exhibition boasts a much more intriguing profile of participants than could be expected. For the first time since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Russian and Ukrainian companies will be exhibiting side by side. In addition to the United States and Israel, both China and Belarus have stands at the event. Notable global names include NORINCO and CPMIEC from China, Elbit and Rafael from Israel, and Italy’s Leonardo.
The expo will host a Greek Cypriot company, Exclases Group. Although it appears as Greek Cyprus, the company in question specializes in helicopter operations and is actually Ukrainian, it presents itself as Greek Cypriot due to certain tax advantages.
Turkiye has the largest presence at the exhibition
While host nation Azerbaijan will showcase 48 companies, including the National Defence Ministry, Turkiye will contribute significantly to this show with all its power. In addition to the 51 companies from Turkiye, the Secretariat of Defence Industry (SSB) will represent Turkiye’s official stance.
