Baykar has shared the footage of the automatic landing system developed for TCG Anadolu LHD (L-400) and Bayraktar TB3 UCAV in action under extreme weather.
The two-component automatic landing system, using communications and image processing to allow Bayraktar TB3’s landing on TCG Anadolu LHD, was shown with its interfaces in detail during the Steadfast Dart 2026 exercise. The STOL-capable UCAV, which previously demonstrated its maritime strike capabilities in the exercise, took off and landed under extreme cold.
As of now, Bayraktar TB3 has performed more than 200 sorties from TCG Anadolu, progressing rapidly in its maturation for shipborne deployment. Alongside the sorties, the UCAV has performed firing tests with various munitions, including MAM-L and MAM-T glide munitions, UAV-122 aeroballistic missile, and KEMANKEŞ 1 loitering munition.
Operations with Bayraktar TB3 during Steadfast Dart 2026, not long after the announcement of Baykar-Leonardo JV LBA Systems to produce the UCAV, also provide a closer view to potential customers in the European market, specifically countries operating LHDs or aircraft carriers.
