Turkiye-based Blitz, known for its line of compact EO/IR systems with high resolution, has entered the US market under the name Blitz Technology Inc.
Blitz Co-Founder and CEO Kadir Doğan announced that the privately-owned electro-optics firm is entering the US market with its Blitz Technology Inc. subsidiary.
Prior to the establishment of Blitz Technology Inc., Blitz had exported its compact EO/IR systems to four customers in the North America region. Fueled by this export success, Blitz aims to solidify its standing in the region with a new node abroad. The firm has exported its systems to more than 15 countries, including the UK, ROK, Ukraine, Canada, and the US.
SPECTRUM Family Answering Small Platforms and Demanding Size Constraints
Blitz’s SPECTRUM family of EO/IR systems, which have varying weights between 250 g and seven kilograms, offer a combination of compactness and high resolution relative to size. Additionally, the optical zoom capability ranges between x10 and x30, allowing for detailed inspection at range.
The current line of SPECTRUM optics includes:
-SPECTRUM 300: 300 g, x20 optical zoom, x40 digital zoom, 4K day resolution, 640x512 IR resolution
-SPECTRUM 500: 550 g, x25 optical zoom, 4K day resolution, 1280x1024 IR resolution
-SPECTRUM 800: 850 g, x10 optical zoom (x20 on PLUS variant), HD day resolution, 640x512 IR resolution
-SPECTRUM 1650 LR: 1.7 kg, x30 optical zoom, HD day resolution, 640x512 IR resolution
In addition to the main line, the firm’s specialised SPECTRUM 1650 MS with a specialised mount is being used by ROKETSAN’s armed quadrupedal UGV, KOZ, fitted with four METE 40 mm laser-guided missiles.
