TRMOTOR has launched its Subsystem Testing Centre at the Gebze Technical University (GTU), at the same time as Quantum Technology Lab for ASELSAN and TÜBİTAK.
Two critical facilities to contribute to R&D in the Turkish defence industry have been launched at the Gebze Technical University as the TRMOTOR Subsystem Testing Centre and the ASELSAN-TÜBİTAK Quantum Sciences and Technologies Laboratory. Turkish Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries Haluk Görgün attended the launch ceremony for the facilities.
TRMOTOR’s new testing facility indicates that the TF35000 turbofan engine (Which is being jointly developed with TEI) for the KAAN fighter jet is coming closer to the testing phase, as well as APU40 (HÜRJET) and APU60 (KAAN) set for integration this year.
On the other hand, the Quantum laboratory is expected to contribute to computing and sensor technologies that ASELSAN [BIST:ASELS] and TÜBİTAK are working on. It is also known that SSB has launched programmes for quantum radar and LIDAR technologies.
